Matrouh Celebrates Being The Capital of Egyptian Culture

In framework of  electing Matrouh  as the capital of Egyptian culture, Matrouh Culture Branch established " Beach Creativity “ Forum  on the summer Theater on  Corniche, where Mustafa Kamel Ensemble for Arabic Music and Matrouh Folklore Arts Troupe presented a collection  of songs and tableaus that gained the admiration of audience. It is worthy of note that for seizing summer vacation, a workshop, for children of  Al Bara'im Nursery, was organized to enhance the talents of children and to stimulate their artistic talents in Children's Culture Palace in Matrouh. Plus, Badia Club in Matrouh   held a poetry evening for Bedouin poets, presenting some of the Bedouin folkloric arts:-   Shatwa, Taq – that were inspired of the folkloric heritage of Matrouh to preserve it not to be lost.

An Exhibition  About "Mahfouz"

In the framework of celebrations of the inauguration of  "Naguib Mahfouz" Museum, Cultural Development Fund Sector organizes an exhibition entitled "Naguib Mahfouz In The Eyes of The World Artists”in Tkeit Abu Dahab - next to Al- Azhar Mosque – at 7.30 pm, on Sunday, 4 August. It is worthy of note that the exhibition includes 40 artists from around the world :Cuba, South Africa, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, China, Japan, Brazil, Russia, Morocco and Spain, in addition to the works of a number of Egyptian artists who took part in the competition that is held en margin of the 6th edition of the International Caricature Forum, organized by the Egyptian Cartoon Society at Prince Taz Palace in cooperation with Cultural Development Fund Sector. The opening ceremonies television dramas s will include presenting a musical concert  of the melodies of  Mahfouz’s most famous films and television drama. The exhibition will continue until Saturday, 20  August

Nubian Drums in kobet Al- Ghoury  And Alexandria poets in Beit Asl- Seit Wassela .

  Within the frame work of of the celebration of  Eid Al-Adha , kobet Al- Ghoury  Creativity Center -affiliated to Cultural Development Fund, and in cooperation with the Foundation of Misr Al- Kheir  and the Foundation of Dialogue for people  cultures – organizes an artistic concert at 8.30 pm on  Sunday, 4 August. The concert includes presenting shows for  heritage Troupes, including: "Nubian drums, folkloric instruments , in addition to the National Circus shows. The concert is  directed by artist Nasr El Fattah. Furthermore, a poetry evening  will be organized in  Beit Al- Set Wassela, in the House of Arabic poetry - behind Al-Azhar Mosque, at 7.00 Pm  to celebrate the poets of Alexandria, including Yahya Sulaiman, Rabie Sayeh, Sameh Skrama, Rasha Zukizk and Yunis Mohammed and run by poet Al-Safra Abdullah.

The Third Season of  The  "Ghosts’ House" on Al- Ayem Al- Sagheir Next Sunday

Adel Hassan, director of Youth  Theater Troup- affiliated to Theater Artistic House, said that "Ghosts’ House" performance  will be presented for 15 nights at 7 pm on Al- Ayem Al- Sagheir in Manial next Sunday, 4 August: every day except Tuesday. The play  is presented for the third season, due to the public turnout  that was achieved in its first season on last June. Adel Hassan added that the theater is equipped with places for people with special abilities and screens for sign language  translation -implemented by “ Ismaouna”  Foundation. It is worthy of note that "Ghosts’ House” is  directed by Mahmoud Jamal Hadini : - it is his first experience on  the State Theater. The spectacle  starring 30 of young graduates of the first batch of "Start Your Dream" theater workshop including: Hiba El Koumi - decor, Amira Saber - clothes, Abou Bakr El Sherif - lighting, Rafik Youssef- music.

Hadra Troupe Celebrates Hajj Pilgrimage Season In Its Fourth Anniversary

Al - Tohami and Al - Fashni are the guests of Al – Hadra Troupe  on the occasion of Hajj season and its fourth Anniversary In the Opera house Al-Hadra  Troupe for Sufi singing celebrates Hajj season and  its fourth Anniversary at 8.00 pm   on Friday 2 August  on the open stage.. Al-Hadra  Troupe prepared a special program that includes a lot of artistic surprises, including the participation of distinguished guests of honor Mahmoud Al-Tohami and Wael Al-Fashani accompanied by Darwish Band for folkloric arts, in addition to a variety recitations in praising for Prophet, highlighting the values ​​ of tolerance in Islamic religion,  in addition to presenting several poems depicting the feelings of pilgrims During the performance of the rituals. It is worth mentioning that Al-Hadra Troupe  for Sufi songs was founded in 2015 to  preserve the spiritual heritage of recitals  and to present the Egyptian Sufi heritage . It includes a group of vocalists of different styles that  love  Sufism. The program  includes a collection of poems for the poets: Mohiuddin Ben Arabi, Al-Hallaj, Ibn Al-Fardar and others. The troupe has performed many concerts in various culture places in Egypt and it succeeded in forming a broad public turnout.

The Opera House Announces The Conditions of the 28 th Arab Music Festival Competition

-singing and playing music are the theme of the 28 th Arab Music Festival. Rateeba Al- Hefny  contest for singing:  for youth ,children with special abilities and  solo playing on Oriental Takhet Instruments. Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, The Minister of Culture, approved on the conditions of the competition accompanying the 28th Edition of Arab Music Festival and Conference organized by the Egyptian Opera House ,headed by Dr. Magdy Saber. Jihan Morsi , director of the festival, said that the competition carried the name  of  Dr. Ritaiba Al-Hefni. The singing section is for young people from 17 to 35 years old and the total amount of prizes is  55,000 pounds . As for  children competition , it includes the children from 6 to 14 years old and  the total amount of prizes is 27,000 pounds. The conditions are as the following The candidate should sing one heritage song and other of his choice – this condition are not applied on  the talented people  of special abilities. solo playing on Oriental Takhet Instruments competition- Nai, law, oud, violin, cello- - the candidate should not be over 35 years old . - the candidate should perform an optional work of musical compositions, not musical - in 10 minutes, in addition to playing free work (Taksim) for 3 minutes. It is worthy of note that the prizes amount is  55 .000 pounds will be given to the winners ,plus,  25 October is  the deadline for receiving applications.

National Center For Child Culture Publishes The First Part of “The "History of Egypt"

Within the framework of The Ministry of Culture's efforts to build  the Egyptian personality and to preserve the national identity of young people, the National Center for Child Culture- affiliated to the Supreme Council of Culture - publishes  the first part of the short historical encyclopedia for children " The History of Egypt", The prepared by   a group of great historians and professors of Egyptian history including:-  Dr. Raouf Abbas, historian Dr. Assem Desouki, Dr. Qassem Abdu Kassem, Dr. Hatem Tahawi, Dr. Mohamed Afifi and Professor Mahmoud Hamza. The center will complete the project of publishing the rest of this encyclopedia that deals with the Egyptian historical phases- in cooperation with history professors in universities and members of the history committee at The Supreme Council of Culture.

The Spectacles of “ Al- Thakafa Al- Ghamaherya”   In The National Theater Festival

The General Organization of  for Culture Palaces participates in the National Egyptian Theater Festival in its 12th Edition,  headed by artist Ahmed Abdul Aziz. The festival will start  in  the second half of August  by presenting four spectacles of  children's theater: The first spectacle is for Children's Culture Palace in Damietta entitled "Island of Life" composed by Hassam El-Din Abdel Aziz and directed by Ahmed El-Ghazlany,  The second is entitled "The Three Colors” of  “ Hassan Fakhr al-Din Bensar Al-Nubia” Troupe  , composed by Effat Barakat and directed by Sahar Ghrobi, the third entitled "Beautiful Radubi" composed by Ahmed Zaham and directed by Mohamed Fuad for Manshiet Nasser's Culture Palace. The fourth is entitled"Smakmino" composed by Abeer Saad and directed by Rana Perak for Al- Anfoushy Culture  Palace. Furthermore, The General Organization of Cultural Palaces  also participated by  five performances in the Grand Theater Competition:-  "The Wonders of Alexandria" composed by Victor Hugo, new vision of   Osama Noureddine and directed by Sameh Bassiouny, "The Feast of the Clowns" taken from  “Notre Dame Hunchback” by Victor Hugo, presented by Al- Chateppe Culture Palace, prepared by Ahmed Saleh and directed by Mohamed El Zeini, “The Rituals of Signs And Transitions " for Al- Fayoum Culture Palace, composed by Saadallah Wannous and directed by Sameh El Hadary," The Good Man "for Kafr El Sheikh Culture Palace, composed by Bertol Brecht and directed by El Said Mansi," Sultan El Harafish " for Al- Gharbyia  National Troupe ,written by Tarek Ammaro and directed by Al Sayed  Fajal.   Plus, The General Organization of Cultural Palaces participates in “Youth Theater Competition”  by three performances: "High Heel" (Experiences) in Kabbari Culture House, written and directed by Mohamed Taya, "Echo of Silence" by Mansoura Culture Palace club , written by Qasim Mataroud and directed by Abdel Bari Saad, "Abu Klebs" Al- Anfoushi Culture Palace Club, written and directed by Ashraf Ali.

 Two Concerts For Al-  Nefikha And Takser Sharqy Ensembles On The Roman Theater In Alexandria The Two Emsembles “Al-  Nefikha”  and “ Takser Sharqy “ will participate in  the summer festival organized by The Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Magdy Saber on The Roman Theater in Alexandria, at 9:00 pm on Sunday 28 July. Al-  Nefikha Ensemble  presents  a selection of traditional and modern melodies using blowing instruments for example: Talaat Yamala Nourha, Aho Da Elisar, Salama ya Salama, and others.   Meanwhile, Takser Sharqy Ensembles presents some of the   Egyptian music of various kinds, especially the oriental rhythms of “Al- zar, in addition to a number of works of folklore and traditional songs  presented by modern instruments such as oud, Argool, kola and  sax.

In the framework  of the summer festival in Alexandria organized by the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Magdy Saber, Wust Al Balad Band will perform a concert at 9:00 pm on Friday 26 July  on the Roman Theater. The program includes presenting a distinguished collection of the band works which has achieved  a great success as innovative treatments for the issues of the new generation including: Karbali, Downtown, Antica, Hellahob, Am Mina, Majnoon, Atalkmi, Shaman, Shams Al Nahar and others. It is worthy of note that Wust Al Balad Band is a lyrical Ensemble  that has began its career in 1999 and succeeded in achieving the rapid celebrity, achieving a large turnout in Egypt and Arab world. It  released several distinguished albums and participated in some of famous movies.
